Stunning day in September October 3, 2011
It was hard to believe that it was the end of September on Friday. It was 27 degrees and sunny. Clover and I headed to our favorite beach for running around. Clover took her new floaty toy, her peanut, with her to the beach. The wind brought out some wind surfers. Clover wasn’t sure what was zooming around out there. Stunning day!!
Fall September 24, 2011
In honor of the first week of fall I thought I’d post an old photo taken in the fall in Ottawa when I lived there. I also spent some time looking through my original photo blog and was kind of feeling a little sad that these photos have been going unseen for so long. So here is a link to my first blog.
Blackberries…the kind you eat!! September 4, 2011
Clover and I picked blackberries on our walk last night. There are so many berries this year. Clover was actually eating them right off the bushes. We came across a few deer helping themselves as well.
I made pancakes this morning so I could have them with the blackberries on top. I threw a few wild blueberries, my favorite, into the batter as well. I love summer berries!!
My new new glasses September 2, 2011
Just got my new glasses back from being fixed. Clover, in her infinite wisdom, decided to mangle one of the temples. Happy that it was all she managed to chew up. Happier that she didn’t swallow anything and hurt herself. Also playing around with Photoscape a free photo editing tool that I can run on my netbook.
Purple! August 24, 2011
The sun was shining on my violets on the windowsill today.
The sun was also shining on this weird and wonderful fungus I came across up in the woods this afternoon.
Sunny here foggy there August 12, 2011
What luck! The sun finally came out again AND I had the day off. That hasn’t happened in quite a while. After hanging some laundy on the line, another rare occurance lately, Clover and I headed down the river to the beach. About half way there we spotted the wall of fog. I actually love Crescent beach in the fog. Clover does too as it is not as hot. The water was warm and Clover had a great time chasing the waves. She even went into the water up to her neck. The last few times we’ve gone down to Crescent we’ve parked at the far end of the beach were there are fewer people. It was really lovely as the sun peeked through the fog.
